Our story

    How Darb started

    01Before Darb

    The problem, found by accident

I co-founded Tamara and spent years building solutions for thousands of merchants. Every time I met with them, I found they were unhappy with their banking experience. Payments for ad campaigns were declined by the bank, supplier transfers took days only to bounce back, and even the simplest tasks required a branch visit.

    02The question

You have to visit the branch

These days, you can do almost everything from home: start a company, notarize contracts, and hire a team.

Except when it comes to your bank account.

You have to visit the branch, often twice: once to find out what you need, and again to hand in the documents.

    It makes no sense.

    The Berlin pact

I met Mohamed Chbieb in Berlin. Mohamed believed in the idea, and we started working.

Licensed by the Saudi Central Bank

Darb received an EMI Major License from SAMA, in record time. The idea was now a regulated company.

    Connected to SARIE

We decided to solve the approval problem before the transfer happened. We built an approval system that triggers the transfer to the supplier's account.
